Thought Provoking Quote of the Day

“What does it mean to be a Christian in a world that is crucifying the poor and the environment on the same cross? Hear the prayers of the people. Hear, oh God, the prayers of the people. What does it mean to be a Christian when we bail out our banking class with 400 billion dollars, yet allow those banks to kick Americans out of their homes? Homes that cost too much because of financial speculation on the housing market.”

AMEN on a Sunday morning (oops, afternoon)!

Those of us not blinded by BS can recognize fundy hypocrisy for what it is–especially in the shape of those megachurches run by MBA’s. I’ve always wondered how these folks have the nerve to preach “prolife” while NOT caring at all for the fate of infants, especially poor ones, after birth: ever notice that the ones who yap loudest about the evils of abortion are usually the ones who also yap about the evils of welfare?

Preach abstinence, they answer–like it helped Bristol Palin, LOL.

We who have eyes can see… right through their hypocrisy. Sadly, there are more who are blind than there are of us.
