Is it just me, or does this whole Tiger Woods accident scenario stink like last weeks gym shorts?
Based on what I’ve heard and read, (click here for a sample), it sounds like old Tiger was running from his pissed off wife and forgot how to drive in the process, but she didn’t forget how.
Let me get this straight: Man leaves house at 2am, gets in his SUV, pulls out of his driveway and clips a tree in his neighbor’s yard before striking a fire hydrant, all at less that 35mph. His wife runs out, just happens to have a golf club in her hands, bashes in the rear window and drags poor, knocked out Tiger from the rear window of the SUV. Yeah, right.
At such a low speed, airbags did not deploy and it’s highly unlikely that Tiger’s injuries were caused by the crash or that he would have been thrown into the back of the Escalade from the driver’s seat. And I suppose golf clubs are just lying around within handy reach everywhere at the Woods residence. Well, okay, he’s a golfer, maybe I’ll give ‘em that one.
If Tiger hit that hydrant hard enough to bloody mouth and be unconscious, he should have been in the driver’s seat. One does not get thrown all the way to the rear of an Escalade from a 33mph crash. There’s some lying going on here, and I think both Mr. and Mrs. Woods are guilty.
I think our man Tiger got caught with his pant’s down and his wife decided he needed a trip to the wood shed, or would the caddy shack be more appropriate?
When Tiger ran over the fire plug, odds are she caught up with him and made contact through the back windshield. A golf club to the face would cause severe bleeding from the face and incoherence, not to mention unconsciousness. And trying to get away from an enraged wife with a golf club would make any man trapped in a large vehicle flee the front seat.
Me thinks maybe there’s a bit of trouble in paradise – must be something in the water down there makes Floridians, even the imported varieties like Tiger get a little stupid. Marital trouble would also explain Tiger’s unwillingness to talk to the police – an action that in this sort of case would get you or me tossed in jail or hauled downtown.
Quit hiding behind your money, Tiger. Step up and admit that like most other over-paid, over-rated celebrity and/or athlete types, you’re just as screwed up as the rest of us. Man up and take your lumps.
I think it’s time we throw Tiger from the train, or under the bus, or in the tank.

What really gets me is that Tiger has “image” and pr people. You’d think SOMEBODY would tell him that he’s handling this whole fiasco in the worst way possible. By making no substantive statements, he is fueling the gossip mill.
Of course, maybe the truth simply is too embarrassing and so he’s willing to accept any amount of flak.
